PAKISTAN'S TEST SQUAD

 After winning both tests against Australia, Pakistan has decided to play with the same 16- members squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand.
   Pakistan won the two-test series against Australia 2-0, their first win against their opponents in 20 years. Chief selector said it is important to keep the consistency in the test matches like before.
   Pakistan will also play two Twenty20 and five one day international against New Zealand. The squads will be announced later. The Squad for the first test against New Zealand test: Misbah-ul-Haq, Ahmad Shahzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Ehsan Adil, Haris Sohail, Imran Khan, Mohammad Talha, Rahat Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shan Masood, Taufiq Umer, Younis Khan and Zulfiqar Babar.

ZULFIQAR BABAR

 A left arm spin bowler who is having plenty of experience. He had to wait more than 10 years since his first-class debut to finally get a test match. When he finally played against South Africa in the test series in 2013, he had already taken 309 first class wickets at an average of 20.36. He is the son of former Pakistani footballer Abdul Ghaffar. He chose as his profession. He has bowled tremendously in every match he played. 

   If we look at the recent matches, especially the test series against Australia, Babar bowled so well. He took 14 to 15 wicket in the 4 innings. we did not feel the absence of Ajmal that much just because of Zulfiqar Babar. As he is 36 years old, he does not have much years left to serve for the Pakistani cricket. We see a better future of our cricket now. Wish him a very good luck for the upcoming series against New Zealand.

AUSTRALIA'S BOWLING AGAINST PAKISTAN

After winning the T20 match and the ODI's outstandingly Austrlia showed there worst bowling attack in the tests. Australia's bowling in UAE has been the worst ever in the series. 

   Before this tour, they have played 210 Test series. The worst bowling average for anyone of those series came when India toured in 1985-86 and drew all three tests. In UAE the Australian bowlers have collectively picked up 20 wickets across the series at an average of 80.15 per wicket. Nver in their 137 year test history have Australian leaked so many runs per wicket in a series.

YOUNIS KHAN

When it comes to Test cricket, Younis Khan is one of the best Test players Pakistan has ever produced. The first test against Australia, he played so well scoring one century in each innings. He always delivers when the team needs him. He saves tests, score in tests, and win it.
   Everyone can score in their home pitches they are familiar with. The true test batsman comes when he is placed in unfamiliar conditions and tested by an unknown environment that requires him to adapt appropriately.
   As we can see in the recent match Against Australia, Younis Khan scored one century in each innings which led our team to win. He has become the Pakistani player to score most centuries in test and a player who scored two centuries in a match. Playing such an incredible match he has proved that he is a remarkable player.

MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ'S BOWLING ACTION

   Mohammad Hafeez is also reportedly been warned by the umpires regarding the pause in his bowling action. The warning is said to have come during the Lahore lions game against Sunfoil Dolphins in the Champions League CLT20. Prenelan Subrayen the Dolphins spinner has also been reported for a suspect action. Both can continue to play in the tournament. But if any of them got reported again, he will be suspended from bowling in CLT20. Lahore lion"s Adnan Rassol was earlier pulled up for a suspected bowling action.

LAHORE LIONS VS SOUTH AFRICAN DOLPHINS

   Lahore lions defeated South African Dolphins by 16 runs in their third group match on the Champions League T20 in Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Lions won the toss and choose to bat first, our openers didn't play well and as a result the soon found themselves on 34 in the 8th over. After that Umar Akmal and Saad Nasim started to rain sixes and boundaries on the Dolphin's parade. They added 92 runs for the fifth wicket partnership, and took the score to 126 in the 17th over when Nasim was dismissed. Akmal batted till the end and led the team cause to score up a target of 165 runs.

 

   In reply, Dolphins started losing wickets from the very start. Hafeez kept the grip tight on the Dolphins scoring using spinners on a slow wicket. But their Frylink played marvelously scoring 62 runs off 27 balls with the help of  many sixes and boundaries. He was also helped from the poor bowling of Aizaz Cheema. Aizaz Cheema failed to ball well this time which led our team under pressure. With 27 runs required in the last over, Wahab Riaz made sure the Lions stopped Frylink from causing the greatest upset. 
   Our Umar Akmal scored 73, Saad Nasim 43 and Asif Raza 19. Whereas Mohammad Hafeez, Saad Nasim and Mustafa Iqbal took 2 2 wickets and Adnan Rasool and Whab Riaz took just one wicket this time. There was much improvement in Lions fielding. Let me mention Ahmad Shahzads direct  throw from near the boundry line to wards the wicket <3

LAHORE LIONS VS KNIGHT RIDERS

 Openers of Lahore Lions, Ahmad Shahzad and Nasir Jamshed after being sent into bat by the Kolkata Knight Riders, set up a 50- runs partnership. Jamshed just scored 10 whereas Ahmad Shahzad played vey well scoring 59 runs from 42 balls hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. Lions were going well but Riders took back the control and took quick wickets leaving Lions with 6 down for 103 runs. This time Mohammad Hafeez, Saad Nasim, Asif Raza, Umar Siddique didnt perform well which resulted lions scoring 151-7. Umar Akmal scored 40 runs and Wahab Riaz scored 14.
   Lions fielding wasn't that good which resulted Lions loss. Ahmad Shahzad also said in his tweet ''Well fought in the end but I think boys need to work hard on their field for rest of the games and future as well.''

LAHORE LIONS VS MUMBAI INDIANS

Lahore Lions after winning Faysal Bankk T20 2014, got a chance to play in Champions League 2014. Their first match was against Mumbai Indians. Lions won the toss and choose to ball first,Indians gave us the target of 136. Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema took two two wickets. Our batting was also very good. Ahmad Shahzad scored 34 runs from 33 balls, Nasir Jamshed score 26 from 24 balls and Umar Akmal played very well scoring 38 runs from just 18 balls. This resulted a win to the Lions. Lahore Lions next match is against Southern Express today. Wishing them avery best of luck. They will make us proud again INSHALLAH.

AUSTRALIA TOURS TO PAKISTAN

   If we look towards Pakistan coming series, Australia will be having a tour to Pakistan this October. Series will start with one T20 on 3rd October. This will be followed by 3 ODI matches on 5th of October. Pakistan played very well in the Asia Cup 2014, but lost the finals. Whereas Australia a very strong candidate who recently beat England in ashes series and as well as ODI series.
   Misbah Ul Haq said in his recent interview that they will not take Australia lightly and will show their best performances in all the matches. He also said that Australia is going to face difficulty playing against spin bowlers. Pakistan has the strongest spin bowling in the whole world. Yet PCB hasn't announced the squad for Australia tour of Pakistan in UAE so far. But we do expect players like Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Sohaib Maqsood, Fawad Alam, Misbah Ul Haq and Saeed Ajmal to play in this series. The tour consists of one T20, 3 ODI's and 2 test matches. Time to wish them a very best of luck,hope they win these series and make us proud again. This win will effect very positively in World Cup 2015.

SHAHID AFRIDI

   Shahid Afridi is a very well known player of Pakistan's cricket team. He was the player from Pakistan who scored  a century off just 37 balls. He is fondly known as ''Boom Boom'' for his aggressive batting style. Along with his aggressive batting, he has a very good and effective bowling. He is one of the most effective leg-spinner in one-day cricket. He made his ODI debut in 1996. He is Pakistan's all rounder and a very well known player. Just while in some interview in Lahore he said,''the world cup 2015 is very important for 3-4 senior players. I have always said that my cricket is attached to my fitness and performance. But maybe I will retire from one-day cricket and carry on playing T20 format, I will take the final decision after seeing my performance in 2015.'' Shahid Afridi is working hard for the World Cup 2015 and spirits are very high. He said that he is ready to lead our T20 team if is gets a chance to. Shoeb Malik said that Shahid Afridi is the best player yet to lead our team for the World Cup 2015. Wish him a very best of luck. Hope he plays very well and with his aggressive batting and brilliant bowling make us win this World Cup 2015 title.
   If we look at his ODI batting average, he has scored 12929 runs in 381 matches with an average of 23.40 runs per match. Whereas he has taken about 378 wicket in 381 matches with 34.20 average which is quiet acceptable. Hope our team plays well and win 2015 title,

LAHORE LIONS FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2014

Lahore Lions has reached India for the Champions League 2014. Lions are Pakistan's domestic Twenty Twenty champions and earned a spot in CLT20 qualifiers. Mohammad Hafeez will be leading the team. Other than Hafeez we have some more big names like Ahmad Shahazad, Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz in the teams line-up. Lahore Lions is going to play their first match on 13th of September, against Mumbai Indians.
   Mohammad Hafeez said,"we are departing with confidence''. ''We all know how important the first stage is so we are focusing for qualifying for the nest round. We, as a team, have been playing some exciting cricket in last two years and the squad has gutsy players from our domestic circuit so we have an ability to fight at the top level."
  Due to rain and bad weather, team had to practice indoor usually. Lahore Lions is the third team to participate in Champions League. we have Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Nasir Jamshed, Umar Siddique, Asif Raza, Mohammad Salman Ali, Mustafa Iqbal, Imran Ali, Saad Naseem, Adnan Rasool, Mohammad Saeed, Ali Manzoor, Fahad Farooq and Aizaz Cheema in the squad. SARFRAZ AHMED

Sarfraz Ahmed who captained Pakistan to victory at the Under 19 World Cup in 2006 is now a well known player. He is a wicket keeper and a right handed batsman. he also plays first class cricket for Karachi. during the the two test matches that were against Sri Lanka he scored three fifties and one hundred in the four innings.He made his one day Debut on 18 November 2007. Whereas he made his test Debut on 14 January 2010. But he isn't selected for the ODI squad series. Wish him a very best of luck. Hope he plays very well in his coming matches as well.

Ahmad Shahzad as our future t-20 captain

Ahmad Shahzad who started to play cricket at the age of seven is now a very well known player. He is said to be an aggressive batsman like Ricky Ponting. Ahmad is a very talented  player with rising spirits. He has also become the first Pakistani  player to score a T-20 century. That's a very honorable achievement for him. He is the opening batsman of our cricket team. He plays in all three formats. Ahmad made his one day debut in 2009. After Mohammad Hafeez resigning from T-20 captaincy, Ahmad Shahzad is having many chances to become T-20 captain of Pakistan  cricket team. Wishing him a very good luck for his future. May he plays very well in all coming matches.
